Edward I issued more significant statutes in twenty years than any English king before or after: Westminster I and II, Gloucester, Mortmain, Winchester, Quia Emptores. He regularised Parliament and used it to approve taxation, publicise legislation, and manage his barons. Some of these statutes are technically still in force today - making Edward one of the most consequential legal reformers in English history.
